Meet the CT Family

It's time to introduce you to the CT Family:

CT Mom - that's me - I'm a full-time mom and work full-time, which means I have 2 jobs. I bring home half the bacon and fry it up in a pan on the days when I'm not running our two daughters to their activities, or attending my own music rehearsals. I'm a professionally trained classical singer, so I have rehearsals or lessons at least once a week. My life is hectic and fun, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

CT Dad (formerly known as Hubby) - full-time dad and husband with an important full-time job. He is also a gifted photographer who would love to pursue it full-time. We are hoping to win the lottery so that I can sing and he can take pictures (of other things, not me). He is patient, kind, a good husband and a wonderful father. I try not to get on his nerves, but no one's perfect.

Princess - our oldest daughter is 10 years old (now 13). She is petite, creative, sensitive, passionate, and could easily win the award for Best Performance in a Drama on any given day. She loves reading, music, theater and riding. My favorite moments are when I am in another part of the house and I can hear her sweet high voice singing any number of Broadway tunes from her room. My other favorite moments are when she's asleep. You pick the day. She is a mini-me.

Sweet Pea - our youngest daughter is 7 years old (now 10). She is an old soul, sweet, caring, athletic and freakishly strong - she can lift up the recliner with my husband in it so I can retrieve the remote when needed. She always finds the one person in the room who needs a friend and takes that person under her wing. She is very laid back, but when her temper flares, watch out! My favorite moments are the quiet times when it is just the two of us and she comes out with her funny observations. She is her father.

So that's our family. These are the people who are closest to me, who are in my heart and mind every moment of the day. Glad to meet you.

By the way, the picture above is the four of us, taken by CT Dad, Vero Beach FL, August, 2005.

You're family sound sweet, and it sounds like you know how lucky you are!
p.s. I'm still waitin' on that video I Twittered about- I'm really jealous, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket!

CT Mom!

Thanks for sharing about your family! Wish I could meet you in person too! LOVE the picture...so cool.

My daughter just started taking voice lessons again at college. Her voice instructor (a Juliard graduate and the head of the music major department at college) wants to train her for the college Opera...he loves her voice...so she is excited! Do you sing that as well? (I wasn't sure when you said classical..)
