My youngest sister had a baby boy yesterday. We are thrilled for her and her husband, and my girls can't wait to see the baby. My extended family has been on baby alert since November 3, her due date, so we are grateful that everyone is healthy and look forward to watching our newest member of the family grow up.
So here are my family stats:
Sisters (including me): 4
Husbands: 4
Cousins (including the new baby): 4 boys, 4 girls
Grandparents: 4
See a trend? I went to Wikipedia and found out more than I ever wanted to know about the number 4. So instead of overwhelming everyone, I just want to say this:
Welcome to our family, baby boy. With a family like ours, you will be surrounded by all-consuming love, crazy holidays, fawning grandparents, doting aunts and excited cousins. We don't blame you if you'll need to take a nap.
