I've noticed a theme among several of my favorite bloggers - less desire to post, not much to say, and some even considering giving up blogging altogether. Even my own posting has been light over the last few months. I was going through some of my old posts, and several of them start with that very phrase.
I tend to post my spontaneous thoughts on Twitter and Facebook, and leave my longer postings to my blog. My life has been pretty quiet lately. There are some things that I wish I could write about, but I know that family and friends read my blog and Twitter posts, so I don't feel comfortable publicly writing about those areas of my life.
No worries though - I will continue to write when the urge strikes. For day to day thoughts, feel free to follow me on Twitter. If you'd like to friend me on Facebook, please send me an email at ctmom96 at gmail dot com.
But don't worry - I'm not going anywhere.

You just aren't looking in the right places! Blogging can be more creative and informative than twiter or facebook blurbs!
Keep looking!
CT Mom, I totally understand! I find it's better when there is no pressure to post on a regular basis.
Enjoy your day with your 11 year old! I'd love to tag along to Cheesecake Factory!
Just don't pull a Manager Mom on us!
I fully understand what you're saying.
I think part of the answer is to have separate blogs--one for family and friends who care if your baby gets a new tooth, and the rest for broadly-defined special interests.
For example, I have a quasi-anonymous personal finance blog which is intended to keep me honest about my finances. I figure there are enough Graces in the world that my friends and family won't find it even if they cared enough to look. My blog occasionally strays into the political realm, but if I ever get strongly political (don't hold your breath), I think I would just start a new blog.
Nothing more but agreed and agreed. I'm pleased that no one I know in real life knows of my blog, but lately, even I've felt a bit hindered. Glad your plan includes sticking around, though!
Yeah it's hard to keep being brilliant when we are such celebrities in our home and work life. At least we haven't resorted to releasing any socks videos! I will keep reading and following :) have a great day!
I am in the same boat. I'm just not feeling like there is a lot I want to post about lately.
I totally understand. I just started my personal blog awhile back and I found that a lot of the moms I follow haven't been posting as much, then again I am posting more because I am on summer vacation so it is easier that way. I love to read your posts and I am just about to send a friend request to my other guilty pleasure (other than my blogging) facebook!!!
I think your on to something. I personally am trying not to use twitter or facebook (unless I'm tell others about a new blog post) and saving it for the blog. I just need to get better at writing stuff down for use later....
A great post dude. I appreciate the insight. I think that home renovations may be an actual growth area in the future.
You article is very good and interesting for me!
