When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right?
But this I wasn't prepared for. I heard rumors, heard hints of it on the news. But I was in denial.
Not today. I'm not ready. It's not time. It's just so .... wrong.
What am I talking about?
Not the flu, swine or otherwise. Not puberty. Not menopause. Not reruns already when the fall TV season has just started.
No. Worse.
This:
SNOW*. In October.
It just sucks. Instead of lemonade, I guess I'll have to make a lemon slush. Oh wait - my mother always warned me not to eat yellow snow.
*I tried to get pictures but the snow didn't stick, so click on the link to see how the rest of Connecticut complained about - er, enjoyed - the surprise change in the weather.

You are not alone..our friends in the north have already had snow, but Connecticut? Not as likely! We are actually in the 40s...not typical for No. Va. We have cold, yucky rain...I think I would prefer the powdery stuff! Maybe I'll finally get a white Christmas!
It is too soon!! We woke up last Saturday to snow, and honestly, I stood at the window completely stunned for several minutes. We've not had snow this early in the season here, according to the weather service, since the mid-1930s. I hope this doesn't bode badly for the rest of the season!
I heard people were getting snow early this year. Fortunately for us in So. Cal, we had 2 days of rain but are now experiencing 80-90 degree temperatures. I'll make sure to send some sun your way. :)
I know, where we live in CT we got flurries nothing sticking but where my inlaws live there was enough to have the news crews in town reporting on the snow
Being originally from CT I know how you feel. Here in Upstate NY we occasionally get snow before Halloween, but when my mom called and said they had accumulation there I was stunned.
This only means one thing... SKI SEASON!
(and hopefully an early and warm summer next year)
Sadly the extended solar minimum has much to do with this advent of the four letter word that I will not mention.
We will have a cold one this year and lots of that yucky stuff (if you live in the cities).
Our schools were closed Friday, and it look like a Tornado went through here!
Snow in October! sweet jesus.
