Not sorry to see it go ...

Good riddance, 2009.

It hasn't been that great a year. Surgery. Losing my grandmother and stepmother within 5 days of each other. Financial roller coaster. Crazy work year. Tough situations going on with both my families.

Some good things happened. Loving the horseback riding. Exercising has really taken hold and I'm happy with my results so far. The girls are getting bigger and more beautiful as we speak. Bathroom renovation. A fabulous vacation.

So 2009 wasn't a total loss. But it's definitely not in my top 10 of years that I would look back fondly on. Or even my top 20.

Everything seems to be pointing to a better 2010. A new year. A fresh start. I'm looking forward to it.

How about you?

Happy New Year

I'm definitely wanting to put 2009 in my rearview mirror. It was not a good year for anyone I know, nor was it a good one for the country, the economy, etc.

Here's to 2010--it should be better without even trying.

2009 has been uneventful as far as major stuff happening with our family. But I'm not sure 2010 will be better. After waking up to the news that a CIA camp in Afghanistan was bombed killing top CIA civilian agents,(which has never happened before) I'm hoping my inclination to think this country hasn't seen anything yet is wrong.

Until both parties have a meeting of the minds, I'm not sure our economy, our safety, or anything else will improve.

But I'm willing to hope for the best...

Here's to a better New Year....for all of us...

I certainly will not disagree that it was not the best year for me either, but it was certainly not the worst and I gained so much over the year, it is hard to call it a bad year.
Here is to brighter futures

I am ready to see it go as well. My husband still has no FT job and I am physically ill from the stress of carrying it all for so long. Bring in 2010~
